When health problems make it difficult for you to move around and do everyday tasks, physical therapy can help restore you to a better fitness level. The goal of physical therapy is to make everyday movements easier – like walking, going up stairs or even getting out of bed.
It can also help with recovery after certain surgeries, so your doctor may recommend physical therapy depending on your specific circumstances. Physical therapy can be used alone or as a complement to other treatments. Physical therapy almost always includes stretching, core exercises, weight lifting, and walking.
As a proactive chiropractic practice, focused on providing the best possible care, we will examine you and talk to you about your symptoms. We’ll also gather some information about your daily activity in order to work with you on a treatment plan individualized to your needs. Our goal is to restore your flexibility, strength, coordination and ultimately, your quality of life!
Soft Tissue Release -- What is Soft Tissue Release?
Faster muscle & tendon healing by freeing up scar tissue. If you have an injury involving the tearing of your muscles or other tissues, that injury is going to get repaired with scar tissue.
Even when you’re stretching, exercising, receiving standard massages, and getting Physical Therapy, you can still end up with muscles and or tendons that feel very tight, restricted, painful and stubbornly resistant to your efforts to get them back to normal.
Soft Tissue Release is the therapy method I use to help free your muscles and tendons from all that scar tissue stickiness. You get simultaneous pressure, friction and a great-feeling stretch. It often feels fantastic and it releases those scar tissue restrictions like nothing else. Your muscles will feel freer and looser and you will get an immediate sense of increased flexibility (in a way that tends to last unlike getting a regular massage that just “wears off” after a few hours).
You often can get some immediate relief from the pain, especially from problems like tennis elbow, tendonitis, and rotator cuff injuries. Which all tend to have a lot of scar tissue or other restrictions that soft tissue release excels at freeing up!
