Dr. McCulloch is a Pittsburgh native and was in private practice in the Pittsburgh area for 15 years.  In 1993, Dr. McCulloch started his post-graduate education, receiving a Bachelors of Science in Human Anatomy from the National College of Chiropractic (NCC) in Lombard, Illinois in 1997.  In April 1999, he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree also from NCC.  In 2017, Dr. McCulloch finished his requirements for the Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician program through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. He plans to continue with the board Diplomate program in physical rehabilitative care.

While at NCC, Dr. McCulloch worked in research and as a teacher’s assistant for Cox flexion/distraction technique, a technique to treat the low back of disc herniations.  Twice a year he would train and test doctors from Canada and the U.S. in the development of flexion/distraction treatment for injuries and disorders to the low back and neck regions.  Also during that time Dr. McCulloch studied backforce transmission seminars through the Motion Palpation Institute.  These seminars specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries to amateur and professional athletes.  The seminars gave Dr. McCulloch the opportunity to understand injuries of the shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles.  Dr. McCulloch also studied whiplash injuries with the San Diego Spine Institute. Over the last fifteen years, Dr. McCulloch has continued his post-graduate education with an emphasis on sports injuries, auto injuries and nutrition.  He plans on acquiring his post-graduate diplomate as a chiropractic sports physician.

Dr. McCulloch owned and operated McCulloch Chiropractic and Exercise Rehab for 13 years. In that time, he ran a family practice heavily emphasizing high school sports and various soft tissue injuries of the spine and extremities. The office treated whiplash, headaches, tmj, carpal tunnel, knee injuries, ankle injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, disc herniations, stenosis, spondylosis, spondylolisthesis, and other disorders of the spine and pelvis.
